Ride2Work Day 2017

In News by Abi Lee

Almost 70 per cent of Australians don’t get enough exercise to maintain their health, that’s two in three of us!
At the same time, our freeways and roads are becoming busier.
These two issues come at a financial cost, with governments having to set aside big chunks of money to address them.
With this in mind, the idea of switching from cars to bikes especially for the commute to work seems like a no-brainer.
Ride2Work Day is a simple reminder of this whole situation and we here at urbi are big supporters of the initiative.
People are encouraged to ride to work on Wednesday, October 18 and hopefully keep it up into the future.
Cycling is a great way to exercise and using it as a way to get to work means it’s also a smart use of your time, you can get your daily exercise without having to spend extra time or money.
If you have your own bike that’s great!
Our bike-share system is designed for short rides such as the one you might take to get to work, you can read more about it here.

Celebrate Ride2Work Day
Why not join our sister company, Bike Valet at Elizabeth Quay on Wednesday morning to celebrate Ride2Work Day. Riders can enjoy a free breakfast while Bike Valet keeps your bike secure. Event details here.
