New stations at ECU Joondalup campus

In News by Adelina Naidu

Our fab urbi team spent long day spent in the rain installing two new stations at the ECU Joondalup campus. The first is outside the Police Academy and the other is next to Edith Cowan College, a very exciting location as the college has many international students who come from countries with strong biking cultures and are familiar with, and love bike sharing!

Our urbi stations are easy to install and fully portable. A quick ride on a forklift and we can make sure the bikes are where our riders need them most. Not only do our urbi stations look great, we make sure the environment looks great too. We prepare the ground, landscape the surrounds, and even make sure the grass re-grows when we’ve gone.

Due to the rain on the day we were also glad that we had done our homework on the best placement for the solar panels!

Next steps

Over the coming weeks we will be monitoring the solar to ensure our batteries are getting sufficient energy. We will also be tracking bike use at each station to ensure that our rebalancing plans are accurate.
